Tiffany Rochester, BPsych, MAppPsych(Clin), MAPS
My name is Tiffany Rochester. I’m a Clinical Psychologist totally in love with the geeky science about the human condition. I am inspired by and committed to the application of Contextual Behavioural Science – understanding behaviour in the context in which it occurs in order to support people in reducing suffering and learning how to thrive.
It matters to me to nurture children, adolescents, adults and families to connect with meaning and purpose no matter which curve balls life throws their way.
I aim to live by the same principles that I apply in the therapy room, and the treatment modalities I use include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; Functional Behaviour Analysis; Relational Frame Theory; and Compassion Focused Therapy. I come from a systems perspective, which means it matters to me not just who the individual is that’s sitting in front of me, but also how that person relates to the multiple systems they are a part of (family, friends, and colleagues). There is no limit to who my clients and I might choose to invite to join us in the therapy room.
I’ve spent the last 15 or so years working systemically with families in a range of settings, including families raising kids with complex needs; separated families (in and out of the family court system); juvenile offenders; survivors of abuse; anxiety and depression; and perinatal mental health. I have a great love for working in community settings including schools, public speaking, and workshops. It was my humble privilege to serve on the Board of the Australian and New Zealand Chapter for the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science (ANZACBS) 2016-2020.
